Young Birds is a membership group within the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund that provides members who are between the ages of 22-27 with the opportunity to network, connect with ISU, and gain benefits associated with the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund. Membership is $50 for the year, and you receive the donor benefits of a $250 donor and invitations to special Young Birds events.

Gain Valuable Priority Points with the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund:
A $50 gift will get you a year's membership with the Young Birds and you receive the donor benefits as if the gift was $250. We know it might be difficult to do more, but starting out at $50 is possible. And to help you realize the benefits associated with donating, we'll go ahead and give you credit for being a $250 donor. You'll gain valuable priority points, which are the basis for handing out donor benefits for items such as season ticket locations, reserved parking, and post-season seating, and you'll stay current with all things Redbirds by receiving our donor newsletter, The Birds-I-View. You can also take advantage of a 20% discount on season tickets!

We strongly encourage you to recruit friends and former classmates to join the Young Birds with you. The more support the better and this group can grow with the help of you and your friends. Young Birds Special Events

Men's Basketball Game
The Young Birds will take over a donor hospitality room for a day. You and fellow Young Birds members will mingle with friends and administrators, and get a taste of why giving to ISU Athletics has its benefits to you and the Redbirds. This year's date will be announced as the season progresses.

The Hog Roast
A fairly new tradition open only to WSF members. Having a Young Birds membership gains you access to this fun and unique event held on August 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Lakeside Country Club. Admission is absolutely free. You can network with WSF members of all ages and giving levels while enjoying free food, beverages and live music.

ISU Football CommUniversity Tailgate
Join other Young Birds members for a tailgate of food, drinks, and plenty of fun prior to an ISU home football game at the biggest tailgate event of the year. If you haven't been to an ISU football game recently, you won't believe your eyes when you see this tailgating phenomenon.

Baseball Tailgate
Come join other Young Birds members in supporting our ISU baseball team in the Spring. The date for this event will be announced once the season has begun, but please take a chance to enjoy a cookout, some great weather and some quality baseball courtesy of the Young Birds.
