DonorNet is the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund's online giving method. Please visit WSF's webpage on GoRedbirds.com to set up an account, make a donation, and track your donor records and status.
Cash Donations - Most gifts to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund come in this form. Please make checks payable to "the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund." We also accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card.
Bushels For Birds - Patrons may donate the sale of grain to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund, either as a forward pricing for future delivery or pricing of grain actually delivered to the elevator. Please contact the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund office for further information and instructions.
Matching Gifts - Many companies (more than 1,000) will match your contribution to WSF. Submit your company's matching gift form with your contribution and it can significantly increase your support and associated giving level. Please consult your employer regarding benefits from matching gifts.
Gifts in Kind - Gifts of goods or services can be of great financial assistance to Redbird Athletics while offering the donor a tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift. These gifts are accepted as needed and on a limited basis, as determined by Redbird Athletics, so please contact WSF and your tax advisor for further information.
Securities - You may eliminate paying capital gains tax and receive an income tax charitable deduction for gifts of long-term appreciated securities. Contact your tax advisor for more information.
*Estate Planning - You may donate through will provisions, life insurance and other bequests. Estate gifts may be made by donating a designated amount, a real asset, or making a residual bequest. Please contact WSF for further information.
*Facility Improvements - As Illinois State continues to grow and attempts to recruit the highest caliber student-athletes, gifts to facility improvements drastically help Redbird Athletics make great strides in the competitive edge for future Redbirds.
*Endowments - A way to secure the financial stability of Redbird Athletics for years to come, endowments allow for a student-athlete's scholarship to be funded indefinitely.
*Restricted Sport-Specific Gifts - Philanthropic gifts that directly benefit a specific sports program assist with expenses not covered in each sport's operating budget.
*Ring of Champions - A way to go above and beyond the call of annual contributions, the Ring of Champions is a select group of Redbird supporters that have made a multi-year commitment to lay the financial foundation upon which Redbird success is built. Contact WSF for more information.
* These are restricted gifts and are sincerely appreciated by ISU's coaches and student-athletes, and benefit the entire Department of Athletics. While these restricted gifts add to WSF members' Priority Point totals, they do not offer WSF members the benefits detailed on page 7, including priority season ticket and reserved parking options.
