The primary goal of the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund is to provide funding for student-athlete scholarships as well as to promote the development of intercollegiate athletics at Illinois State University. As the fund raising arm of Illinois State Athletics and the lifeblood of scholarship dollars for the 400+ student-athletes at ISU, the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund uses privately cultivated funds to serve as a means to cover increasing scholarship costs paid to Illinois State University each year ($2.95 million in 2011-12) as well as provide a foundation for future athletic success via facilities upgrades.
