ISU Volleyball Honors Those Who Take Care Of Us

October 8, 2012

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State Athletics Department, in conjunction with the volleyball team, looks to honor all health care professionals at the Friday, Oct. 12, match against the Creighton Bluejays, scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. at Redbird Arena.

Redbird volleyball will be recognizing the healthcare field through honoring The Mennonite College of Nursing as its special guest of the evening, to be seated in section “N” of Redbird Arena. To keep things fun, fans who work in the health care field are invited to attend Friday’s game in their uniforms and/or scrubs. Illinois State cheerleading squad members will be targeting these outfits during T-shirt give-a-ways throughout the match.

As a way to give back to those in need, fans are urged to bring in new soft toothbrushes for the Student Nurses’ Association’s toothbrush drive benefitting the America’s Promise School Project.

Admission is free for all Reggie’s Kids Club members. Reggie’s Fun Zone will be open one hour prior to the start of the match, where members will have access to coloring sheets, Reggie tattoos and a poster making station. Members are also invited to join the high-five tunnel where the ISU volleyball team will enter the court.
