NORMAL, Ill. - Freshmen Elly Kaiser and Jagoda Pstras will not return to the Illinois State volleyball program in 2008, it was announced Thursday. Kaiser, a walk-on in 2007, will transfer to Lipscomb to continue both her academic and volleyball career. Pstras has transferred to Drury University (Mo.).

Pstras decided to transfer shortly after the conclusion of the 2007 season, but opted to complete her first year of college at Illinois State by attending classes during the spring semester, and participating in the volleyball team's four-week spring season that ended April 19. Kaiser did not compete during the spring season.

"Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to meet Elly or Jagoda, as both of these student-athletes decided to end their volleyball career at Illinois State prior to my arrival," said head coach Melissa Myers. "We thank them for their contributions to Redbird volleyball, and wish them both the best in their future endeavors."

Kaiser, a Champaign, Ill., native, appeared in seven matches for the Redbirds last season. She played a season-high two games against Bradley (11/3/07), and recorded her only two digs of the season against Indiana State (11/8/07) at Redbird Arena.

Pstras played in 21 matches in 2007. The Jaworzno, Poland native had a season-high eight kills and nine digs in Illinois State's four-game win at Northern Illinois (8/28/07).
