Normal, Ill.-The Illinois State women's tennis team announced Thursday the addition of two new student athletes to the Redbird family. Nadin Antic of Stockholm, Sweden is set to compete in January of 2013, and Sierra Stone of Miami, Fla. is set to compete in the fall of 2013.
"We are very excited to add these two wonderful young ladies to our program," head coach Chris Hoover said. "With their fine character, strong academics, and high-level of tennis experience, these two women can have an instant impact on our team."
Antic has been a top player in Sweden during her junior career and has competed for Team Stockholm against several other regions. During 2012, Antic made her way to the semi-finals of a Masters playoff after qualifying through smaller tournaments throughout the year.
