Redbird Diving to Hold a Pair of Summer Camps

NORMAL, Ill. - Openings are still available for the two co-ed summer diving camps that will be hosted by Illinois State diving coach Phil Hoffman and current and former ISU divers this June at the Horton Field House pool. For those who register before June 10, an early-bird discount of $15 will be taken off of the registration fee.
The first Redbird Diving Camp will be held Monday, June 17, through Wednesday, June 19, at the Horton Pool. Registration is open until the start of the first day of camp, and walk-up registration is welcome the morning of. The first camp will be offered for ages eight to 18 years old.
The second session of camp will only be offered to incoming and current high school students. It will be held Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27. The Redbird Diving Camp works to help children and teens learn the basics of diving in a safe environment, improve diving skills, provide dry-land training and to have fun. Campers will also be given the opportunity of having their dives videotaped and reviewed by coach Hoffman.
Each session will contain three to four days of instruction from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Prices for the camp are $130 for the first session, $160 for the second session, and $275 to attend both camps. The cost of the camp includes daily instruction, camp insurance, a camp t-shirt, and a pizza party. The pizza party will be at the end of the last day of camp.
