Redbirds Finish Zippy Invite 4th, Freshman Jones Leads the Way

The Illiniois State swimmers finished 4th this Sunday in the third of three competition days at the Zippy Invitational in Akron, Ohio

2010-11: Participated in the Red/White Intrasquad meet, Notre Dame Relays, Zippy Invitational ... competed in dual meets against Evansville, UNI, Illinois, Western, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Youngstown State ... placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke at the Red/White Intrasquad meet ... earned a season-best time in the 50-yard freestyle (26.63) against Evansville ... earned a season-best time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.72) at the Zippy Invitational ... recorded personal-best times in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.19), 200-yard IM (2:11.51) and 400-yard IM (4:42.66) at the MVC Championships.
