Redbird Swimmers and Divers Honored at Annual Awards Banquet

The Illinois State swimming and diving team honored their student athletes this Saturday at the 2011-12 end-of-the-year banquet.

2011-2012: Earned a personal-best time in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:39.42), 500-yard freestyle (5:08,80) and the 1650-yard freestyle (17:41.58) at the MVC Championships ... named Most Improved at the 2011-12 awards banquet ... participated in the Saluki Miler Open Water and the Notre Dame Relays ... competed in dual meets against Evansville, Nebraska-Omaha, Illinois, Ball State and UNI ... competed in a double-dual meet against UIC and Valparaiso.

Wayzafa High School: Varsity team member all four years... helped her team win sectional championships each year... was a member of the conference championship team her freshman year... won first place in the 100-meter breaststroke at sectionals as a senior.

Personal: Born 2/4/93... daughter of Harry and Margo Hunt... has a sister, Katelyn (21)... majoring in Family Consumer Science ... holds a cumulative GPA of 3.18.
