Sarah Dunleavy starts her first year on the Illinois State swimming and diving staff as a graduate assistant. Dunleavy graduated from Purdue University in May of 2012, where she swam and earned a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising.
While competing at Purdue she was a team captain, a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and a four-year letter winner. Dunleavy also volunteered as assistant coach during her last semester. Dunleavy was the 2012 recipient of the athletic departments "John Wooden Leadership Award" and the team's "Cathy Wright-Eger Continuing Women of Educational Excellence Award."
Dunleavy is pursuing a master's degree in recreation administration at Illinois State.
