Redbird Softball Signs Two for 2013-14 Season

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State head softball coach Melinda Fischer announced the signing of two players to National Letters of Intent (NLI) to continue their athletic and academic careers at Illinois State. Fischer, who will enter her 28th season at the helm of the Redbird softball program, inked one outfielder and one utility player, who will join the ISU softball team in the fall of 2013.

“Even though the class of 2013 is small in numbers, it is powerful in production,” Fischer said. “Jordan de los Reyes and Annie Heineman are both all-state selections, one has won a high school state championship and the other an ASA state championship. Both are great students with tremendous work ethics both on and off the field.”

The 2013-14 Illinois State recruiting class includes: Jordan de los Reyes (Moline, Ill./Moline) and Annie Heineman (Normal, Ill./Normal Community West).
