Illinois State begins play with a quarterfinal contest, Thursday, against Evansville
The Redbirds were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the MVC Tournament with a 5-3 loss to Evansville.
Elizabeth Kay was named the MVC Player of the Year, while six Redbirds earned All-Valley accolades.
The Redbirds fell to Northern Iowa, 9-3, on Senior Day at Marian Kneer Stadium.
The Redbirds and Bears split a doubleheader, April 6. ISU won game one, 1-0, before dropping game two, 7-4.

2011: Made 45 appearances and started 41 games in her first season as a Redbird...finished the year with a .271 batting average with six doubles, four home runs and 20 RBI...tied for third on the team after drawing 16 walks and reached base at a .397 clip...went 2-for-3, drove in three runs and hit her first-career home run vs. Temple in Tampa, Fla. (Feb. 26)...finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, a homer and three RBI vs. Illinois (Mar. 12)...tallied a home run and two RBI in her first-career NCAA Tournament game at Missouri (May 21)...committed just five errors and finished with a .984 fielding percentage at first base.
