Sunday Match Between Redbirds and Eagles Moved Up to 9 a.m.

NORMAL, Ill. - Due to incoming weather in the Florida area, Illinois State's match Sunday, Aug. 26, at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers, Fla., has been moved from 11 a.m. to 9 a.m. central time. The other remaining match in the Embassy Suites Classic, Green Bay versus Florida Atlantic, has been moved from Sunday to Saturday night at 6 p.m.

The Redbirds (2-0-1) defeated Florida Atlantic (0-2-0) 7-0, Friday, in the first match of the weekend tournament. Rachel Tejada and Abby Van Deventer each scored twice for ISU, while Kyla Cross, Mackenzie Staton and Allie Newsom each scored once. FGCU (2-1-0) knocked off Green Bay (0-2-0) 2-1 with two late goals from freshman Emma Blackwell, earning Eagle head coach Jim Blankenship his 300th career victory.
