NORMAL, Ill. - For the first time in the last two years, the back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion Illinois State soccer team will host two separate summer camps at Adelaide Street Field, in an effort to provide instruction to all genders and ages. The Future Redbirds Camp will feature both boys and girls from ages 6-12 and be held June 10-12 (Session I) or July 25-27 (Session II), with the Elite ID Camp featuring 13-18-year old girls only from July 21-24 (Session I) or July 28-31 (Session II).

Each camp will be led by head coach Drew Roff, his staff and the Redbird players. Illinois State has made the NCAA Tournament three times in the last four years, including 2012, and continues to establish itself as one of the best in the region while garnering national recognition and accolades.

The Future Redbirds Camp aims to help children develop skills and a passion for soccer in a competitive and fun environment. Players will be trained and grouped within ages or skill levels, with goalkeeper training available. Each session will contain three days lasting from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Prices for the camp are $150 for an individual or $125 with a group of eight or more. A $25 discount will be applied if sign up occurs before June 1. The cost includes instruction and a t-shirt.

In addition to the revived Future Rebirds Camp, the program continues to offer its Elite ID Camp, which is a four-day, overnight camp designed for motivated high school-age players who are competitively involved in club and/or high school soccer and want to improve their technical and tactical skills. This camp encourages young players to become better players and teammates in sessions that are both challenging and enjoyable. It is designed with a small environment (maximum 60 players) so that each player can receive the individualized attention required for development.

The cost of $475 for an individual includes instruction, meals, overnight housing on the ISU campus and a t-shirt. The price reduces to $450 for individuals signing up with a group of eight or more, and $395 for those who will not stay overnight. A $25 discount will be applied for those who sign up before June 1.

Registration is now open and will be ongoing up until the week before each session begins. Your online source for Illinois State Athletics, tickets, Weisbecker Scholarship Fund gifts, multimedia, Redbird merchandise, photos and more.
