Redbirds Set to Host Ball State in Season Opener

Illinois State returns 11 gymnasts and welcomes five newcomers to the team for the 2012 season.

2012 Season: Did not compete due to injury.

2011 Season: Competed on the uneven bars in the first three meets of the season before a season-ending injury ... scored season best 9.675 on uneven bars and 9.800 on the floor exercise.

2010 Season: Consistently competed on the uneven bars and floor exercise ... posted a career-high 9.775 on the uneven bars at the State of Illinois Classic Meet (Mar. 20) ... in the same meet, scored a career-high 9.825 on the floor exercise ... named to the AFNI Athletics Honor Roll.

Boylan Catholic High School: Competed with the Gymnastics Academy of Rockford ... three-year regional qualifier, level nine as freshman and level 10 as sophomore and junior ... broke gym records for level 10 high scores on bar and vault junior year ... did not compete senior year due to wrist injury.
