Women's Golf Looks to Season-Closer to End on High Note

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State women's golf will close-out the 2010 fall season Monday and Tuesday, as the Redbirds will travel to Kiawah Island, S.C., to compete in the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate.
"This is an important tournament for us in a number of ways," head coach Darby Sligh said. "This is the end of our fall season, so it's important that we finish on a high note. Although we have had a few weeks off, I believe the girls are eager to compete and will start where we left off at Mizzou."
The two day competition will consist of three rounds, with 36 holes played Monday and 18 played Tuesday and an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start both days.
The Oak Point Golf Club is a 5,912, par 72 design, and will host Campbell, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Elon, High Point, Jacksonville State, Miami, Morehead State, Richmond, Western Carolina and Wichita State.
