NORMAL, Ill. - Coming off of a momentum-building victory at the 2011 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship, the Illinois State women's golf team will compete for the fourth-straight year in the three-day, 54-hole NCAA Central Regional at the Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind., May 5-7.

"This is an absolute honor to take this team to its fourth-consecutive regional," said head coach Darby Sligh. "This is exactly as all of us had planned it from the start, and each of these student-athletes has prepared long and hard all season to play in this championship and represent Illinois State and the Missouri Valley Conference."

Each round will begin with 8 a.m. (ET) tee times and will consist of 18 holes. Live scoring will be available at, with coverage to follow each round.

The championship lineup of Terra Miller, Brianna Cooper, Hannah Bachman, Katie Jean and Rachel Powers will represent Illinois State at the Central Regional, with Miller being the only Redbird with regional experience.

Powers will tee off Thursday at 1:25 p.m. (ET), with Jean to follow at 1:36 p.m., Bachman at 1:47 p.m., Miller at 1:58 p.m. and Cooper at 2:09 p.m. The Redbirds are paired up with Morehead State and Butler for the first round.

The Redbirds will compete in the field of ranked 24 teams during the three-day tournament.

The Redbirds (23) will be competing against UCLA (1), Duke (2), LSU (3), Arkansas (4), Wake Forest (5), Texas (6), Tulane (7), Stanford (8), Notre Dame (9), Ohio State (10), Kent State (11), Chattanooga (12), Northwestern (13), Minnesota (14), UNLV (15), Oklahoma State (16), North Texas (17), Wisconsin (18), East Carolina (19), Michigan (20), Illinois (21), Morehead State (22) and Butler (25).

"It's very important for us to stick to our game plan of one shot, one smart decision at a time," Sligh said. "It will be imperative to use this strategy all the way through on such a tough golf course and against an extremely tough field. This is the experience this young team needs to continue building upon such a successful foundation."

Illinois State will be the only team to represent the Missouri Valley Conference in the NCAA Regionals.

The individuals competing include Harin Lee (St. John's), Lindsay Gahm (Indiana), Bonnie Hu (Harvard), Nina Muehl (East Tennessee State), Brittany Kelly (Ball State) and Britney Hamilton (Western Michigan).

Of the 378 participants selected for NCAA Regional competitions, only 126 will advance to the championships finals.

Teams that place in the top-eight of each regional will go on to compete in the championship finals May 18-21, at the Traditions Club in Byran, Texas, as Texas A&M will host.
