Miller finished the tournament in second place, just three strokes behind first place finisher Sara-Maude Juneau of Louisville. The Redbirds finished in fifth place out of the 12-team field with a 904 (298-297-309).

Senior Laura Harris entered the final round in a tie for sixth place, but after carding a 77, fell three places to tie for ninth overall. Harris shot a three-round score of 223 (71-75-77). Senior Marisa Milligan fired a 232 (76-75-81) to tie for 32nd place. Senior Christine Larson posted a 4-over-par 76 in the final round to earn the second-lowest score of the day for the `Birds. Larson ended the tournament in a tie for 45th place with a 236 (80-80-76), while junior Terra Miller shot a 245 (79-78-88) to tie for 66th place.

"Today was a tough finish for us," said head coach Darby Sligh. "We fought all day long and just couldn't get anything to go our way. I'm extremely happy for Stacey and the way she played this week. Had a few more shots gone her way, she would have stayed in the hunt."

The `Birds entered the final round of the tournament in fourth place, with Miller tied for first place individually.

"We have a few days to regroup before leaving again for Kansas State, and we are going to use this time to work hard on a few things to keep us steadier down the stretch," Sligh said.

Not far behind Juneau and Miller were Laura Anderson of Louisville and Julie Potter of Missouri, who tied for third place. Both Anderson and Potter carded a one-over-par 217.

The Redbirds' next tournament will be September 28-29 in Manhattan, Kan., at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational. The two-day tournament will be played at the Colbert Hills Golf Club.
