NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State Athletics Department will hold Kristi Cirone Night during Illinois State's home game against DePaul, Monday, Dec. 28. The illustrious career of the former Illinois State guard will be honored and her number will be retired.

Prior to the game, Cirone's No. 10 jersey will be raised into the rafters of Redbird Arena, alongside fellow Redbird basketball legends Cathy Boswell, Charlotte Lewis and Doug Collins. At halftime, there will be a video presentation and Cirone will address the crowd. Cirone will sign autographs at the north end of Redbird arena following the game.

The first four-year captain in Illinois State history, Cirone is Illinois State's career leader in points (2,139), assists (681), three-point field goals (229) and free throws (512). Only the second player in the history of the Missouri Valley Conference to be named player of the year three times, Cirone was the sixth player to be named All-Valley all four years. She was the third Illinois State player to receive All-American honors, earning four in her final two seasons.

Cirone guided the Redbirds to 87 wins in her career and three-consecutive 20-win seasons and national postseason appearances.
