NORMAL, Ill. - Fresh off of a 12-day hiatus and first semester finals, the ARV/NR Illinois State (7-1) is ready to get back into action with its first-ever trip to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami RedHawks (6-3) on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1:05 p.m. CST. Both teams enter the contest with three-game winning streaks.

The Redbirds continued their hot start to the season with a two-game road sweep against Eastern Michigan and Ball State in their last action two weeks ago. ISU has been very successful on the road this season, posting a 5-0 record. The Redbirds are averaging 78 points per game on the road and outscoring their opponents by an average of 16 points per game. Senior guard Tiffany Hudson does some of her best work on the road, averaging 17.2 ppg away from Redbird Arena, as opposed to 10.0 ppg at home.

Sophomore forward Ashleen Bracey has been the driving force for the Redbirds over the past three games, leading the team in scoring (16.0 ppg) and rebounding (9.7 rpg). She posted the first double-doubles of her career during that stretch with 16 points and 10 rebounds against Loyola and a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds against Ball State.

ISU has won both all-time meetings with Miami, including an 89-73 triumph last year. Kristi Cirone recorded a double-double with a career-high 28 points and 10 assists. She was also the second player in ISU history to have double-digit assists and no turnovers. The series began in 1977 with a 93-40 Redbird triumph. Sunday's game will be the first played at Miami's Millett Hall for Illinois State.

After Sunday's contest, the Redbirds return home for the first time in nearly three weeks to host in-state rival Western Illinois on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7:05 p.m.
