WNIT Watch Party At Redbird Arena Set For Monday

NORMAL, Ill. - Fans wanting to watch the Illinois State women's basketball team's 2013 Postseason WNIT second-round game at Kansas State will have the opportunity to do so together, as ISU Athletics will host a watch party Monday, March 25, at Redbird Arena. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on the video board beginning at 7 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to enter through the East side doors and find seats in the lower bowl. Free popcorn will be provided and drinks will be available for purchase.

The Redbirds advanced to the second round of the tournament, after picking up a 63-47 win over IUPUI Thursday night at Redbird Arena. Illinois State is making its 12th appearance in the Postseason WNIT and has a 20-17 all-time record in the tournament. In the most recent five WNIT appearances, the Redbirds have a record of 13-4 during that span.

Kansas State leads the all-time series, 7-1, with games dating back to 1975. The Redbirds' only win against the Wildcats came on Nov. 27, 1984, when the Redbirds recorded a 69-68 victory in Normal, Ill. During the series, K-State has won four games in a row and three games in a row. Kansas State leads the series 4-0 in games played in Manhattan, Kan.
