ISU Women's Basketball Announces Summer Camps

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State women's basketball coach Stephanie Glanceand her staff have announced dates for the 2012 Illinois State women's basketball camps. An online application form for each camp can be found by clicking on the "Women's Basketball Camp Information" under the quick links section of the Women's Basketball page at GoRedbirds.com.
The Day Camp, which is for girls entering first through eighth grade, will be held Tuesday, June 12, through Thursday, June 14, in Redbird Arena. The Day Camp is designed with the intent of helping campers develop a love for the game of basketball. Campers will receive personal instruction from current ISU coaches and players. They will learn skills and techniques they can practice all year. The cost of the camp is $125, which includes a t-shirt. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.
The Team Camp will be held Friday, June 29, through Saturday, June 30, and is open to varsity, junior varsity, junior high and AAU teams. Each team is guaranteed six games or three games each day. The $495 cost is for a team of 12 players. Players must have matching t-shirts or jerseys for all sessions. The registration deadline is Friday, June 22.
Like the Team Camp, there will be a Team Shootout Monday, June 11, which is also open to varsity, junior varsity, junior high and AAU teams. Each team is guaranteed four games and players must have matching t-shirts or jerseys for all sessions. The cost for 12 players is $375.
Once an application is received, each camper will be sent a packet of information with directions, check-in instructions and health information.
