Team ISU Wins 2009 College Bowl At IATA Meetings

NORMAL, Ill. - A team of Illinois State athletic training students won the 2009 College Bowl during the recent Illinois Athletic Trainer Association (IATA) State Meeting held Nov. 7-8 in Lisle, Ill.
The team of Bria Noel, Rob Lynall, Bobby Delmore and alternate Kristin Defenbaugh defeated nine other teams from the state in the Jeopardy-style competition. The trio from ISU won the competition by a scant 50 points over the defending champions from Illinois.
With their win in the competition, Team ISU received the travelling trophy and athletic training supplies to be donated by Henry Schein. In addition, the team qualified to compete at the District 4 Great Lakes Athletic Trainer Association (GLATA) Winter Meeting in Detroit in March of 2010.
Other schools competing in the College Bowl were Northern Illinois, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Aurora, Lewis, Millikin, North Central and North Park.
