NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's tennis team will compete at the Louisville Invitational Nov. 9-11 in Louisville, Ky. This is the first time the Redbirds will be traveling with the entire team since the Western Michigan Invitational earlier this fall.

"This tournament should be pretty similar to some of our previous ones, but it will be the first time we have the whole team together again since our first tournament of the season," said head coach Cris James. "Hopefully the guys will have a good team concept and support and push each other this weekend like we have been doing thus far."

The Redbirds have been hard at work since the Northwestern Invitational preparing for this weekend's action.

"I am hoping to see some improvement in our overall doubles this weekend. We are using some new combinations again so I'm not sure how that will go but I hope to see some improvement in our fundamentals," said James. "I also hope to see some consistency from our guys. Each of them played pretty well in their previous tournament so I hope to see that progress continue this weekend."

The `Birds begin play at the Louisville Invitational Friday, Nov. 9 at an all day event.
