MOBILE, Ala. - The Illinois State men's tennis team will take on the Jaguars of South Alabama Thursday, in Mobile Ala. It will be the first outdoor match of the spring for head coach Cris James and the Redbirds, who have won four of their last six matches.

"As a team, we will need to be more patient when we play outdoors," James said. "Thursday's match will be a very competitive and tough one. The game will slow down because there will be a lot more variables we have to deal with."

The Redbirds sport a 6-4 record and are currently ranked 70th in the nation.

Illinois State will face off against the Jaguars Thursday at the Bruce David Libel Memorial Tennis Courts. The first serve is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Your online source for Illinois State Athletics, tickets, TRC gifts, multimedia, Redbird merchandise, photos and more.
