NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. Friday, Feb. 9 to take on Cleveland State and Saturday, Feb. 10 to face Western Michigan. The Redbirds will enter this weekend's competition with a 2-2 overall season record.

"We are looking for two wins this weekend and I think if we play well that can happen," said head coach Cris James. "I hope to see some more progress in our doubles and a bit more consistency in our overall performance."

James is expecting the entire team to come out and compete tough in both weekend matches.

"We know the margin for error is small so we need to have all of our guys show up and perform at a good level," said James. "It's very tough to get it done if we only get a good performance from three or four guys. Both these teams are pretty good and both of them compete hard and are well coached, so we will need to bring our A game to get two wins."

Friday's competition against Cleveland State is set to begin at 11 a.m.
