LINCOLN, Neb. - The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to Lincoln, Neb. Friday, Feb. 1 to take on Nebraska. The Redbirds will remain in Lincoln Saturday to compete against Oklahoma State.

Head coach Cris James hopes the team can continue on this winning streak.

"I certainly think we have a chance to win both matches, and I am sure we could probably lose both as well if we don't play well," said James. "Hopefully we will play as tough as we did last weekend and be able to come out on top in a lot of the close matches."

ISU started the dual match season strong with a record of 2-0 against Iowa and Loyola Marymount last weekend.

"We don't know exactly what kind of competition to expect from Nebraska and Oklahoma State," said James. "Both teams have been strong in the past but both are rebuilding a bit now. Winning this weekend is a big goal for us, of course. The more you win the more confidence you build. But I also hope we establish a little bit better doubles play and continue to play tough and fight together as a team."

Friday's match against Nebraska is set to start at 5 p.m. central time.
