Men's Golf Back on the Course at the Red Wolves Fall Beach Classic

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's golf team will be back in action to complete the fall season in Gulf Shores, Ala., competing at the Red Wolves Fall Beach Classic at Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club Monday and Tuesday.
The Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club will host 13 teams in the 56-hole tournament. The Redbirds will compete against Arkansas State, Arkansas-Little Rock, New Orleans, Murray State, Nichols State, Rice, Southern Eastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee-Martin, Texan Pan American, Troy and Vanderbilt.
The Redbirds are coming off a two-week break looking to finish strong, ending the fall season.
"We've learned some things through the fall, and I expect us to put that knowledge into play this week and finish off the fall on a strong note," head coach Ray Kralis said. "This is a big one as far as establishing momentum into what needs to be a productive off-season.
Junior Parker Freiburg and senior Matt Solis will compete in the No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively. Rounding out the line-up for the Redbirds will be freshman Tyler Gentilella, competing in the No. 5 spot.
Play will begin Monday with 36-holes, followed by the final 18-holes on Tuesday. Both days will begin at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start.
