While weather conditions posed problem in the earlier rounds, the Redbirds finished off the spring season on positive note, heading into the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
Although play started off slow, Kralis is pleased with the way his team battled through adversity and is looking forward to teeing up with day one top finishers Northwestern (567) and Ohio State (573) in the 14-team field.
Having played so well the past two weeks, the Redbirds have gained confidence and built momentum leading into the final match of the spring season.
2011-12: Competed in 34 rounds during the 2011-12 season ... had a season-stroke average of 75.3 ... tied for sixth in the Cardinal Intercollegiate Tournament (Sept. 26-27) with a two-round score of 143 (72-71), after recording a 1-under-par... finished tied for 18th with a 2-over-par 218 (71-75-72), which was his best three-round score of the season ... tied for 10th at the 2012 MVC Championship (April 30-May 1) with a score of 223 (71-76-76) ... had a low-round score of 69 during the first round of the UALR/First Tee Classic (March 26-27).
2010-11: Competed in 28 rounds during the season ... had a season stroke average of 76.5 ... tied for sixth place at the Cardinal Intercollegiate, after recording a 2-under-par 214 (70-72-72), which was a personal-best ... tied for eighth place with a 1-over-par 145 (74-71) at the Samford Intercollegiate ... finished the 2011 Men's Golf Championships in a tie for 28th, after completing the three-round competition with a score of 239 (79-85-75) ... member of the lineup that finished second at the Valley Championships.
Prep & Personal: Finished in fifth place at the 2008 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) 2A State Finals ... recorded a sixth-place finish at the tournament in 2009 ... captured six top-three finishes including two victories; one of which he fired a 5-under-par 67 at the Pekin Invitational at the Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin, Ill. ... won the Illinois State Junior Amateur (ISJA) Championship in Barrington, Ill., after shooting 2-over-par 142 (71-73) ... fired 1-under-par 144 (73-70), to win at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship Midwest Qualifier.
