March 27, 2012
NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team will officially begin it spring workout sessions Tuesday, but before it does head coach Brock Spack and offensive coordinator Luke Huard will speak with the media at the annual spring press conference held at the Kaufman Football Building at noon Tuesday.
Coach Spack will speak first and make general comments about the program and where it sits heading into the spring workout period. He will also talk about the Redbird defense, which he took over as defensive coordinator last season and turned into one of the top-10 defenses in the country.
Huard will then speak about the Redbird offense and some of its newest additions heading into camp. With the loss of eight starters on offense, the Redbirds will have several holes to fill during the spring and fall workouts.
ISU will begin its spring workout period Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and will practice each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until April 28, when the team hosts its annual Red-White spring scrimmage. A full schedule and daily practice updates will be made available at GoRedbirds.com on the Redbird Football spring camp central page.
The live video can be seen on Redbird All-Access, the Illinois State Athletics Department's exclusive multimedia platform.
