Celebrate National Signing Day With Redbird Football
Jan. 22, 2014
NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack and his staff will publicly announce the 2014 Redbird recruiting class at a National Signing Day party to be held inside the Hancock Stadium Club the evening of Feb. 5. The event is free of charge and open to the public, with light appetizers (while supplies last) and a cash bar provided.
The annual event will begin at 5 p.m., with a short meet-and-greet session before Spack provides commentary and recruiting insight on the Redbird prospects, with video clips of the newest Redbirds available for viewing. Fans can then head over to Redbird Arena to watch the ISU men's basketball game later that night at 7 p.m., as the Redbirds take on Northern Iowa.
Fans attending the event that hold basketball parking passes are asked to park in their assigned lots and head to Hancock Stadium. For fans without assigned parking, spots will be made available in lots G73 and G83 adjacent to the Ropp Agriculture Building and behind the Hancock Stadium scoreboard.
"This is an event that we as a staff look forward to each year," Spack said. "We put in a lot of long hours travelling, meeting these recruits and their families and the signing day party is a great celebration of all that hard work put in. We hope our fans, alumni and community supporters come out to talk with us about the newest Redbird Football players and enjoy the event in the Hancock Stadium Club."
Prior to the event, GoRedbirds.com will provide up-to-date signing day coverage for the ninth-straight year. As each National Letter of Intent (NLI) is certified by the Illinois State Athletics Compliance Office, biographies of each ISU recruit will be updated on GoRedbirds.com. In addition, RedbirdHD.tv subscribers will have exclusive access to a highlight video of each signee and with coaches' comments available to view.
