Dueling Pianos Set To Entertain Illinois State Fans

December 17, 2013

NORMAL, Ill. - For the first time ever at Redbird Arena, both Redbird men’s and women’s basketball will feature Fun Pianos! by 176 Keys, a dueling pianos company known for performing mega-interactive and entertaining shows all over the United States.

Sunday, Jan. 5, 176 Keys will provide the in-game music for the men’s basketball game against in-state foe Southern Illinois, slated for 1:05 p.m., and the women’s basketball game versus Northern Iowa directly following men’s hoops at 4:35 p.m. Redbird Arena will remain open to fans in-between games, so fans are encouraged to stick around for both games for only the cost of one.

"We've done a lot of shows around the country, for audiences from 12 to 7,000 in size and have expanded to serve the whole country,” explained Owner and Lead Play of Fun Pianos! by 176 Keys Sam Ferguson. “This is not only exciting because we are sports fans, but in particular because it is for the Redbirds. Of course, any basketball game would be a fun show for us, but since the show is for Illinois State, it doubles the thrill for our company."

As always for women’s basketball games this season, all Reggie’s Kids Club members have free admission with a valid kids club ID. ISU students with a valid Illinois State student ID will also be granted free admission into the women’s game following the men’s game.

Tickets for these games can be purchased online at GoRedbirds.com, by-phone at (309) 438-8000 or in-person at one of the ISU Athletics Ticket Offices located either at Redbird Arena or Hancock Stadium, open Monday thru Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
