NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State fans will have the opportunity to watch the Redbird men's and women's basketball teams on Comcast SportsNet Chicago eight times during the 2013-14 season, as the athletics department announced its institutional package Friday. The men's team will have six broadcasts, while the women's team will have two.

The ISU men's team will be featured on CSN for four non-conference games and two Missouri Valley Conference contests. The first men's game will air on CSN Chicago PLUS, Nov. 8, via a shared feed between ISU and VCU. ISU's home games against Drexel (Nov. 12), Dayton (Dec. 7) and DePaul (Dec. 22) will also air on CSN Chicago. Once the Valley season is underway, the Jan. 18 game at Drake is scheduled to be broadcast on CSN Chicago, while the second Valley game included in the institutional package will be announced at a later date. Kurt Pegler and Bob Morris will be on the call for all of the men's games, with the exception of the VCU game.

The women's team will air two Valley games, as a part of the TV package. Both women's productions will be road games, including the Jan. 12 contest at Indiana State and the Jan. 31 game at Loyola in Chicago, with RC McBride and Jill Hutchison serving as the commentators for both games.

In addition to the Illinois State TV package, three Redbird men's basketball regular-season games and at least two Redbird women's basketball regular-season contests will air live on the Missouri Valley Conference Television Network.

Men's and women's basketball single-game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m., via GoRedbirds.com and at the Redbird Arena ticket office, and they will remain on sale throughout Hoopfest, a free event that features the men's and women's basketball teams beginning at 7 p.m. Phone orders will not be accepted during the Hoopfest presale.
