Cancun Challenge Games to Be Televised

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Both of the Illinois State men's basketball games from the 2011 Cancun Challenge will be televised live on CBS Sports Network, Nov. 22-23, from the all-inclusive Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. The tournament field features the Redbirds, along with Illinois, Richmond and Rutgers.

"CBS Sports Network has been a great media partner on this event and we're thrilled to once again be airing the games live nationally on the network" said Dave King, CEO of Triple Crown Sports, producers of the Cancun Challenge. "It is college basketball at its best with NBA-ready talent in one of the most unique fan experiences in sports."

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, Illinois State tips off versus Rutgers at 6 p.m., CT, followed by the Illinois-Richmond game. On Wednesday, Nov. 23, the third-place game will be televised at 6 p.m. CT, with the championship game tipping at 8:30 p.m. CT.

The Cancun Challenge is owned and produced by Fort Collins, Colo.-based Triple Crown Sports, which also organizes women's college basketball tournaments in Cancun, and the Preseason and Postseason Women's NIT.
