NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's basketball season is just around the corner and excitement is building for the 2012-13 season. Don't miss out on a chance to see every home game in person, by ordering a season-ticket plan for as low as $85 through Illinois State Athletics to catch all the action on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.

For the first time, Illinois State Athletics will offer fans the opportunity to buy upper bowl season tickets in the `Birds Nest. Season tickets in the `Birds Nest cost $85 and fans will have the choice to sit in the North end behind the basket (sections RR and SS) or the South end (sections FF and GG) behind the basket.

Lower bowl public season tickets are $245 per seat and require a per seat donation to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund. Public upper bowl seats will cost $141 per seat. Faculty and staff season tickets are also available for $197 for the lower bowl and $141 for the upper bowl.

The Redbirds are led by first-year head coach Dan Muller, who returns to his alma mater in hopes of taking the program to new heights. ISU finished the season 21-14 overall and advanced to the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, where the Redbirds fell to champion Creighton.

After missing out on a NCAA Tournament berth, the Redbirds were selected to participate in the National Invitation Tournament and the Redbirds advanced to the second round, where they eventually were knocked out at Stanford, 92-88, in overtime in the second round.
