PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Illinois State sophomore guard Kaza Keane and incoming freshman forward MiKyle McIntosh helped the Canadian Junior Men's National Team (JMNT) earn sixth place, matching its highest finish in the event, at the FIBA U19 World Championship, following a 72-68 loss to Spain Sunday morning.

The JMNT went 4-5 at the U19 World Championship, including a loss to the United States (109-67) Friday, followed by a triple-overtime win over China (110-100) Saturday. Sunday's game marked the end of Canada's run in the international tournament.

Keane and McIntosh both played in all nine games. Keane scored his tournament-high nine points, with a game-best eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals to lift Canada to a July 2 win over Iran. Keane also contributed six points, with seven assists and three steals in Saturday's victory against China. One of McIntosh's top performances came in a seven-rebound effort during Canada's June 28 loss to Croatia.

The Illinois State duo secured spots on the 12-man JMNT roster after proving themselves during a 10-day, 22-player training camp in June. Your online source for Illinois State Athletics, tickets, Weisbecker Scholarship Fund gifts, multimedia, Redbird merchandise, photos and more.
