NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State junior forward Bobby Hill, who recently returned to the Redbirds after a one-year stint at Lincoln College, will undergo knee surgery in mid-June after injuring his right knee in a pick-up game at the North Gym in Horton Field House.

"Obviously, our heart goes out to Bobby (Hill)," said head coach Tim Jankovich. "You never like to see your players get injured. But on a positive note, we expect Bobby to make a full recovery and be a big part of our team next season."

Hill was named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) First-Team All-American last season after leading the Lynx to a 26-7 record. He averaged a team-high 16.7 points per game.

In his freshman season at Illinois State (2005-06), Hill averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game, but was used mainly as a defensive specialist, while playing 11.1 minutes per contest. The St. Louis native started eight of the last nine games of the season.
