Illinois State-Niagara BracketBusters Game on ESPN2

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's basketball team will appear on ESPN2 twice within the span of eight days after the Redbirds' ESPNU BracketBusters game at Niagara Friday, Feb. 20, was selected to appear on ESPN2. The game will tip-off at the Gallagher Center in Niagara, N.Y., at 6 p.m. CST. The Redbirds and the Purple Eagles will meet for the first time. Illinois State currently holds a 19-5 record after opening the season with a school-record 14-straight wins. The Redbirds are 8-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Niagara is 19-6 on the season and 10-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. This game will mark the fourth time that the Redbirds have been selected for one of the televised games in the BracketBusters Series in the six-year history of the event. ISU is 3-0 all-time in ESPNU BracketBusters, including last season's 54-46 win over Wright State on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Eight days after the game at Niagara, the Redbirds will return to Valley play at Creighton for the league's "Wildcard Weekend." The game between the Redbirds and Bluejays Feb. 28 will tip-off at 1:05 p.m. on ESPN2.
