NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's basketball team has been matched up to face Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich., at Read Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 19, as a result of the BracketBusters concept. The game time has not yet been finalized.

The Redbirds, who own an 11-11 record this season, are 3-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference, while WMU is 11-9 overall and in second place in the Mid-American Conference's West Division with a 4-3 mark.

This will be the seventh meeting between the two schools. Western Michigan leads the series, 4-2, but the teams split the last two meetings, as each school won on its home floor during a home-and-home series in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.

Illinois State owns a 6-2 record in games created by the BracketBusters concept and selection process, including a 71-62 victory over Morehead State on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena last season.
