NORMAL, Ill. - Redshirt junior pitcher JD Learnard stopped by the Horton Field House podcast studio for the second edition of the Baseball Offseason Birdcast with ISU baseball play-by-play announcer Ronan O'Shea. The 13-minute interview covers Learnard's recovery from labrum surgery and how he is preparing for opening day.
Learnard did not pitch in 2012 after suffering a torn labrum, but went 8-2 with a 4.04 ERA as a sophomore in 2011. The right hander completed 78 innings and was named All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention.
