NORMAL, Ill. - Junior right-hander Chris Razo earned his second win of the fall, as the red team beat the black team, 13-7, Saturday morning at Duffy Bass Field in Normal, Ill. Razo struck out five through five innings and allowed just three earned runs to help the red team win Illinois State's Fall World Series finale.

Matt Mirabal went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI to highlight the red team's production. Brett Kay turned in a 3-for-6 performance with three runs scored, and Zac Johnson was 2-for-5 with three RBI for the red team. Mike Hollenbeck led the black team, going 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run. Bryan Huff was 3-for-6 with one RBI and two runs scored. Right-hander Otto Roberts suffered the loss, pitching three innings with two strikeouts and five earned runs.

The end of the five-game, intrasquad series marks the conclusion of fall, team practice. The black team finished the Fall World Series with a 3-2 record against the red team.

"I thought we saw a lot of good things in this year's Fall World Series," head baseball coach Mark Kingston said. "We still have much to work on, but we have the ingredients to be a good team. Now our focus is on getting stronger and working on individual improvement."

The red team scored three runs to start the game, with a two-RBI double by Kyle Stanton and a wild pitch that allowed Stanton to score. Huff scored on a wild pitch to put the black team on the board in the bottom of the frame. The black team took the lead in the second inning with an RBI-single by Huff and a sacrifice fly by Ty Wiesemeyer.

An RBI-single by Johnson and a sacrifice-RBI by Mark Menaker put the red team ahead again in the third inning. The red team added to its lead with two more runs in the fourth inning thanks to a two-RBI double by Johnson. The black team responded with two runs in the sixth inning on RBI-singles by Anthony Galli and Hollenbeck.

Each team scored once in the seventh inning, with a home run by Menaker and a walk issued to Brian Rodemoyer with the bases loaded to walk in a run. Mirabal homered for two more red-team runs in the eighth inning. The red team capped its scoring with a two-RBI triple by Joe Kelch and a Julian Sipiora RBI-single. The black team scored its final run in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI-triple by Hollenbeck.
