Support Redbirds vs. Cancer And Be Entered To Win Prizes

NORMAL, Ill. - As announced earlier this spring season, the Illinois State baseball team will continue to help raising funds for cancer research by hosting Redbirds Vs. Cancer at Duffy Bass Field on Sunday, May 5, when the ‘Birds play Creighton at 1 p.m. All fans who contribute to the fund will be entered to win either two all-session passes to the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference tournament at Duffy Bass Field or a signed baseball by the entire Redbird baseball team.

The purpose of the event surrounding the game will be to raise funds for childhood cancer through the Vs. Cancer Foundation - a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids’ lives by empowering athletes and communities with the hope to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. Leading up to the event and throughout the game, the ISU baseball team will be raising money for the organization.

Admission is free for the entire baseball regular season at Duffy Bass Field. For postseason play, Illinois State will play host to the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championships. Session tickets will be sold for $30 from the Illinois State Athletics Tickets Office.
