NORMAL, Ill. - The schedule for Illinois State's season-opening series with Belmont has been adjusted due to expected poor weather conditions Saturday in Nashville, Tenn., as agreed upon by both head coaches Thursday.

Illinois State and Belmont will play two seven-inning games Friday, with the first pitch at Greer Stadium for the opening game at 2 p.m. The Redbirds and Bruins were originally scheduled to play the double-header on Saturday, but the threat of cold weather and a rain/snow mix created the adjustment.

The teams will attempt to play a nine-inning contest on Saturday at 1 p.m. and close the four-game series with a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
