Sealy to Compete in the IAAF World Championships

NORMAL, Ill. - Former Redbird Sade Sealy heads to Moscow, Russia, August 10-18, to compete in the International Association of Athletics Foundation (IAAF) World Championships.

Sealy punched her ticket to the games having hit the "B" standard in the 400-meter dash by notching a personal-best 52.01 at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships (May 12).

The Barbados native's first heat is scheduled for 9:05 a.m. (CST) Aug. 10. The 400-meter dash semi-finals are scheduled for 11:05 a.m. (CST), Aug. 11, with the finals claiming the 12:15 p.m. (CST) slot, Aug. 12.

Sealy has eight-straight Valley titles in the 400-meter dash, holding both the Illinois State and MVC record. Throughout her Redbird career, Sealy won 17 of the 28 meets, where she ran the 400-meter dash.
