Student-Athlete Advisory Council

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is made up of student athletes from each team. Athletes are selected by their coach and contacted during the first few weeks of the Fall semester. The purpose of the SAAC is to serve as a liaison between the athletic teams and the Athletic Administration in the development of support services and enrichment programs for student-athletes. SAAC meetings are held a minimum of once a month, but meetings are usually scheduled on a bi-weekly basis.

SAAC has aided in the creation of many new initiatives, traditions and programs for Illinois State University Athletics. SAAC is a pinnacle of Illinois State University Athletics as it provides a voice for student-athletes and an opportunity to guide the direction of the Athletics program for which they all serve.
