Payroll deduction for ISU employees, and Direct Bank Debit. Forms available under "Donation Forms"
CASH GIFTS: Direct contribution in the form of cash or check. Checks should be made payable to The Redbird Club.
CREDIT CARDS: The Redbird Club accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
ENDOWMENTS: Ensure perpetual scholarship aid by establishing an endowment in your name, or to honor someone special to you.
GIFTS IN KIND: Provided in the form of goods and services in lieu of cash gifts, these must represent items which would be a savings to the athletics budget. Approval must be granted by the Director of Athletics.
GIFTS OF STOCK: Many donors choose to make gifts in the form of common stock, or other securities that have appreciated in value. In such cases, donors realize substaintial tax advantages.
PLANNED GIFTS: Includes bequests, gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance and gifts of property which will provide benefit to the donor as well as support for the Athletics Department.
MATCHING GIFTS: If you or your spouse are employed by one of the more than a thousand companies that have a matching gift program, you have the opportunity to boost your support for Illinois State athletics. Due to changes in IRS tax regulations, most companies will match only the tax deductible portion of the contribution. As of January 1, 1999, donors may not use the matched portion to meet the minimum gift level requirements to seating purposes.
TAX INFORMATION: According to the Internal Revenue Code, Section 170(m), a contribution associated with the privilege of purchasing season tickets for men's basketball and football is deductible as a charitable contribution of 80 percent of the adjusted gift. It is prudent to always consult with your tax advisor when determining the deductibility of gifts to The Redbird Club.
