Ruthie Zemke became a graduate assistant for the Karin L. Bone Athletics Study Center in August of 2011, after competing for Illinois State in soccer for four seasons. Zemke primarily serves are the coordinator of community services events for the Athletics Study Center, along with student-athlete targeting.
Zemke received her bachelor's degree in International Business and Marketing, and is currently working towards a master's degree in Sports Management. As a student-athlete, Zemke appeared in 59 total games as a key contributor to the Redbird defense, earned the Missouri Valley Conference State Farm Good Neighbor Award her junior season and was the co-recipient of the Heidecke Award as a senior.
Prior to joining the Illinois State staff, Zemke worked for Fellowship of Christian Athletes during the summers of 2010 and 2011, as a logistics aid in the marketing department, summer camp coach and mentor.
A native of Valparaiso, Ind., Zemke currently resides in Normal, Ill.
