Leslie Van Dyke
Leslie Van Dyke has served as the Director of Events and Game Operations at Illinois State since August of 2012.
In her current role, Van Dyke is responsible for managing all regular-season home events, as well as Missouri Valley Conference and Midwest Independent Conference Championships. She also oversees the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Volleyball and Girl's Basketball State Championships, and she supervises student event staff members who work events.
Before starting at Illinois State, Van Dyke worked as an event management graduate assistant at the University of Iowa. She assisted in preparation and execution of all 22 NCAA Division I home athletic events for the Hawkeyes while helping with six Big Ten Championships, one NCAA Championship and the USA Olympic Wrestling Trials. Van Dyke also served as the 2012 Women's and Men's Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships manager.
Van Dyke additionally worked as a teaching assistant for the University of Iowa Department of Health and Human Physiology and served as a supervisor for the University's Recreational Services Department.
A Bettendorf, Iowa, native, Van Dyke earned her master's degree in recreation and sport management after obtaining her bachelor's in recreation management, both from the University of Iowa.
