Stephanie Leonard is entering her first season as a graduate assistant for the ISU Sports Performance staff. Leonard designs programs for the women's tennis and women's golf teams. In lieu of her weight room responsibilities, she is also interning for the sports nutrition department and pursuing her Registered Dietitian credential.
Prior to coming to ISU, Leonard served as an intern at the University of Iowa, where she designed programs for women's novice rowing and men's and women's cheer, while also aiding other coaches with all track athletes, softball, men's tennis, and women's soccer.
Leonard received her first Master of Science degree in Kinesiology at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where she served as a graduate assistant in the Texan weight room. She designed and implemented programs for women's softball, women's tennis, and cheer.
Leonard, a Midland, Texas native, completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas-Permian Basin and has received career certifications by SCCC, CSCS, and USWA-1. While at UTPB, Leonard was a four-year starter for the women's soccer team and a two-year letterman on the swim team.
Leonard is the daughter of Iris and Benny Leonard and has a brother, Andrew.
