Academic Coordinator

Jeff Spenard joined the Karin L. Bone Athletics Study Center in July 2011 and serves as an academic coordinator working with men's basketball, along with advising the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Spenard also oversees the Student-Athlete Leadership Academy.

From June 2010-May 2011, Spenard was an academic coach at Tennessee, where he led advising and academic coaching sessions for undergraduate students. He also held a wide variety of other responsibilities, including organizing course schedules, coordinating academic and tutorial resources, ensuring students upheld scholarship requirements, and assisting students with their transition to the collegiate academic environment. Spenard also spent time as the football team academic mentor from August 2009- May 2010 and also served as a student-athlete tutor from August 2009-May 2011, while at Tennessee.

Spenard graduated from Tennessee in May 2011 with his master's degree in sport management and obtained his undergraduate degree in 2009 at Hartwick College, earning Magna Cum Laude honors in business administration. A member of the men's soccer team at Hartwick, Spenard was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as the treasurer and men's soccer representative. Spenard was the recipient of Philip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for student-athlete academic distinction, and was named to the Hartwick Dean's List and student-athlete academic honor roll. He was also named an NJCAA Adidas Academic All-America Team in 2007.
